Where do I get API keys to use WriteMapper's integrated Ask AI feature?

Learn where to get API keys from OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude.

You need to have an API key from your respective AI providers in order to use Ask AI. Please note you'll also need to add a valid billing method, and may need a positive credit balance, with your AI provider in order for the API key to work. WriteMapper does not provide API keys.

OpenAI

First, signup directly with OpenAI here. Next, create an API key by going to the API Keys page in your account, then clicking the "+ Create new secret key" button.

Gemini

To get a Gemini API key, sign in to Google AI Studio, navigate to the API keys section, and click "Create API key." Follow the prompts to set permissions and save your key securely.

Claude

To get a Claude API key, visit the Anthropic website and create an account. Once logged in to Claude Console, navigate to the API keys section in your dashboard, click on "Create Key," and follow the prompts to create and save your new key.
