I have an older major version of WriteMapper. How do I perform an upgrade to the latest major version?

Each major version is a different app package altogether, so instead of the usual app updates, you’ll need to download it separately to upgrade.

Automatic updates may only performed for minor updates within the same major version (more information here). To get the latest current version of WriteMapper, simply download from the downloads page on our website, and install it on your computer.

You may also be eligible for an upgrade discount to get a license code for the new major version if you are a returning customer. Please see this support article for more details.

Please additionally note that upgrading WriteMapper is entirely optional. Your existing license code of the older version remains valid for use. Older versions of the app will also continue to remain available for download from our website, and you may continue using them as long as they remain compatible with your computer's operating system. Lastly, your old WriteMaps will continue to be accessible and editable, as they have been designed to be compatible across all versions of the app.
